The DECORATIVE ARTS draw their inspiration from all the artistic disciplines to create works of art destined to remain original works or to be mass produced, as well as prototypes designed for industrial use.
The Decorative Arts are at the crossroads of creative expression and techniques, the latter being more a tool than a goal as such.
There are a vast variety of applications. In our case, these arts lead to interior architecture and decoration, graphic communication technology (graphic arts), to computer assisted graphics and their application to the textile industry, and to CAD (computer assisted drawing or conception).
The Applied Arts pervade and form a part of our daily environment to such an extent that one of the functions of the training in this field is to develop our awareness of this omnipresence, to learn to observe, to harness and to reinterpret in order to create in our turn.
